I Miss My Desktop
For two days now, I do not have my desktop with me. Well, my CPU. It crashed. And it was painful to see my CPU go that way. It’s like I have lost a huge part of myself. And I just cannot work with my laptop. There are a lot of things in my CPU that I cannot transfer to D.
Don’t get me wrong. D has been amazing but it is just not that designed to be used for a long period. Like I said before, I bought D so I would have something to use when I go out or when I take a trip. And D has been like my savior a couple of times – when my ISP just went bonkers and when my CPU has gone bust. My files are not here though but D allows me to access the internet – all I need is a WiFi hotspot and I am ready to check out my e-mail. But to honestly do all the hard and dirty work I can do on my desktop, D’s not made for that.
And so back to my desktop. I sincerely hope the repair guys are able to fix him up right. I need him back in my life and I really would like to work more years with him. Yes. I am calling my desktop a him and I still haven’t named him yet. So now I am calling my desktop Odie. I just want to, okay? There are really no reasons why. And it just popped in my head as I write this.
I also hope what Odie’s got is not anything wrong with his motherboard. If that happens, then I really need to purchase a new desktop and that’s going to mean lots of money (which I don’t have right now).
