Happy Birthday Sky!

It’s been three years. I still remember having you in my tummy. I remember you moving around so much even while you were still inside. I still remember when I gave birth to you. I remember the first time we met and even more the first time I held you in my arms.

You were still so small then. I could carry you without exerting much effort. You could not blurt out any words yet and you were totally relying on the formula that we had to make for you. But you had this really loud voice that when you cried, people who were on the street were able to hear your wails.

It was at exactly 12:40pm when you came out in this world. Of course, I didn’t know it that time because I was sound asleep because of the anesthesia. But your Ninong Doc said that you really wailed so loud.

Now, you are three years old. You are growing up just fine. You may have your share of tantrums and all that but you still are a good kid. You love to learn and you ask me to teach you when there are things that you do not know. You can easily mingle with other kids and you have proven that you are not selfish with the things you have. Sometimes, you act like a grown up already.

Sky, my superhero

Happy birthday Sky, my superhero!

You now dream to be a pilot. When you see a picture of a plane, you say that you will be seating in the front wiht Mommy and you will be driving it. And then you point at all the other seats behind you and you tell me just where I will be seating. You are a really dear little guy.

You talk a lot but I am not that surprised for I talk a lot too. You know your ABCs now and you are learning your numbers. You already know your colors and I think you’re going to love music with all the singing that you do.

It has been a quite a journey with you, Sky, but it has been a fun journey. I will never trade what I have gone through for something better because everything that has happened has taught me a lot about what it means to be a mother. And I can say that I am pretty blessed to have a wonderful son like you.

I just can’t believe that you are three already. It seems just like yesterday that you were still a baby fresh from my womb. But yeah. I just have to accept the fact that you are growing up so fast and the next thing I’ll know is that you’re already going to school and then you already have your own group of friends. Oh well. But that’s life and I’ll always be with you.

Happy birthday Sky!
