Brrr….
It’s exactly 4:01 am as I start to write this. I’m here in Manila and I’m staying with two of my college housemates. I had just attended UP Ibalon’s alumni homecoming picnic and it was fun to see familiar faces. It’s just sad to know that they do not have a tambayan right now.
It’s cold here. Hence, the title of my post. But I am craving for more Dark Mocha Frap from Starbucks. Samm, thanks for the treat earlier. Some more? Hehe. Oh and thanks Ninong Marvin and Ninang Leslie for the Christmas gift. That’s what Sky would say when he gets ‘em. But for now, let me do the thanking.
I have one more day here. It has already started but I still have yet to sleep. Though it’s technically a Monday already, it’s still a Sunday for me. It’s been an adventure earlier with Flager and Leslie as we went out to find where Samm works in Bonifacio High Street. Thanks to our walking prowess and our first hand research skills, we found her.
It’s really cold here but nothing to the cold air in Legazpi. Here, it’s just cold. Period. In Legazpi, it’s cold with some gusts of wind to spare. So just imagine how that should feel. But I love the cold weather. I just hate that part when I get some aching joints. But when I get used to the whole deal, I get aching joints no more. The cold weather is the only opportunity for me to wear my jackets and all those really warm clothes that look nice.
I’m still craving for some Chocolate Kiss goodness. Maybe in several hours? Well, let’s see. I’m also hoping to meet Rey, Denz and Ate Ayin if they’ll be available later.
I hope to be back here by next year. Probably February for the UP Fair. Not sure yet but I want to be here. I’ll be missing this year’s Oblation Run and Lantern Parade. I know. I know. But duty comes first and I need to work and I can’t spare to be absent again with the holidays coming up and everything that comes with it. If you’re a Filipino, you probably know what I am talking about.
So there. It’s really cold here. And it’s 4:10am now.
