Oh Just Some Quotes

Because of the lack of better things to do at exactly 4:00am, I’ve decided to look for those quotes I’ve been meaning to look up. See, I’ve been watching a lot of TV series for the past weeks and I think I’ve been absorbing most of what’s been happening. And right now, I think I need some inspiration and the quotes will do. At least, the characters in those series ended up pretty well. I think I may… someday soon. :p
One of TV series that I watch is How I Met Your Mother and here are some of the quotes I’ve liked:
Look, our forefathers died for the “pursuit of happiness,” okay? Not for the “sit around and wait of happiness.” Now if you want, we can go to the same bar, drink the same beer, talk to the same people every day or you can lick the Liberty Bell. You can grab life by the crack and lick the crap out of it. (Barney)
Have you ever had one of those days where nothing all that monumental happens, but by the end of it you have no idea who you are or what the hell you are doing with your life? Do you ever have one of those days? (Robin)
There are certain things in life where you know it’s a mistake but you don’t really know it’s a mistake because the only way to know that it really is a mistake is to make that mistake and go, “Yup, that was a mistake”. So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you’ll go about your whole life not knowing whether it was a mistake or not. (Lily)
One of my favorite TV shows is Friends and that’s been proven. But there’s so much fun with the show. It’ll be best if you watched the series yourself. It’ll be really worth your while. That I tell you.
And then I also discovered Heroes. I never thought it would be this good but it is.
We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise? Or when we fall? Or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction? Is it evolution that takes us by the hand? Does science point our way? Or is it God who intervenes, keeping us safe? (Mohinder)
Evolution is imperfect and often a violent process. A battle between what exists and what is yet to be born. Amidst these birth pains, morality loses its meaning, the question of good and evil reduced to one simple choice: survive or perish. (Mohinder)
Every hero is on a journey to find his place in the world. But it’s a journey. You don’t start at the end, otherwise they can’t make a movie about it later. (Ando)
We are, if anything, creatures of habit. Drawn to the safety and the comfort of the similar. But what happens when the familiar becomes unsafe? When the fear that we’ve been desperately trying to avoid, finds us where we live? (Mohinder)
You cannot bribe a hero. My heart is true. My spirit unbreakable. (Hiro)
